About
Who I Am
I’m a clinician, author, public speaker, and ordained minister with more than twenty-five years of experience helping individuals and organizations navigate complexity with clarity and purpose. My work sits at the intersection of emotional health, identity, and the pressures of high-performance environments, and I try to offer insight that is both compassionate and candid.
At my core, I believe people and systems can change—and that becoming whole is both practical work and deeply human work.
“I’m committed to helping people find a way forward that actually feels like their own.”
A Career Bridging Multiple Worlds
Throughout my career, I’ve found myself bridging worlds that don’t always intersect: clinical and corporate, spiritual and secular, personal and systemic. I’ve served as a behavioral healthcare and leadership consultant across the U.S. and U.K., carried my message to more than 40 countries, and supported professionals in industries where the stakes are high and the support is often scarce.
With a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology and advanced credentials in addictions counseling, I’ve had the privilege of lecturing widely on mental health, recovery, spirituality, and culturally attuned care.
These experiences have shaped my ability to translate across roles, cultures, and contexts—helping people make sense of challenges that are complex, layered, and often unspoken.
“Much of my work involves helping people navigate the pressures they carry quietly.”
What I Do
A significant part of my work centers on helping people reconnect with meaning, values, and a deeper sense of purpose that often gets buried under the demands of daily life. I understand the quiet ache for “something more” beneath the 9-to-5 grind, and I’m committed to helping clients move from survival mode into a more grounded, intentional way of living.
I draw from clinical training, systems thinking, spiritual formation, and practical strategy to support:
-
Individuals navigating transition, identity, burnout, or caregiving
-
Professionals in law, finance, and other high-stakes fields
-
Organizations seeking to build cultures of clarity, resilience, and humanity
-
Communities exploring recovery, spirituality, and mental wellness
-
Helping professionals integrating spiritual worldviews into clinical practice
I’ve written two books—Live A Legacy: Spiritual Principles for Strategic Living and The Recovery-Minded Church—and I lead the Spiritual Care Network, a community for helping professionals who blend spiritual and clinical approaches to care.
Leadership & Advocacy
Today, I serve as President of Emerge EQ, where we provide wellness solutions to the legal, financial services, and professional sports industries. My work often focuses on the human cost of high achievement—supporting people whose responsibilities are immense but whose emotional support structures are limited.
I’ve spent much of my career advocating for the LGBTQ community, people of color, and others navigating identity, pressure, and belonging within corporate and institutional systems. I’m committed to ensuring that these conversations happen with honesty, courage, and deep respect.
“I believe clarity and compassion are not opposites—they are partners in meaningful change.”
How I Work
I speak plainly and without pretense, aiming to create environments—whether in therapy, consulting, or teaching—where truth and compassion can coexist. I approach people with a blend of candor, humility, and a genuine curiosity about what helps them live more consciously and sustainably.
I’m also deeply aware of my own tendencies: the impulse to over-function, over-give, or carry more responsibility than is mine. My ongoing personal work keeps me grounded, authentic, and able to accompany others without losing myself in the process.
This balance allows me to guide individuals and organizations with both steadiness and humanity.
What I Believe
-
People can change—and systems can too.
-
Resilience is built through honesty, not perfection.
-
Meaning and purpose are essential, not optional.
-
Identity deserves space, nuance, and respect.
-
Well-being is both a personal journey and a collective responsibility.
-
Clarity is an act of care.
-
The work of becoming whole is ongoing.
Where I Am Now
I live in Midtown Manhattan, where I continue this work every day with curiosity, humility, and a deep commitment to helping people build lives—and workplaces—that feel more aligned, humane, and meaningful.
